Crackdown On Fake News And Blackmails Begins

At the recently concluded 2nd National Roundtable on Fake News and Blackmail of Government and Non-Governmental Officials, held at Chelsea Hotels, CBD, Abuja on July 30, 2024, Mr. Adams Otakwu, Chairman of the Conference of Civil Societies and Coordinator of Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMICO), voiced strong concerns about the resurgence of fake news and blackmail. 

Civil Societies Sound Alarm on Fake News, Blackmail

The Conference of Civil Societies has expressed deep concerns over the increase in fake news and blackmail targeting officials. Chairperson 

Adams Otakwu, in a recent press conference, stated, "The Conference of Civil Societies has noted with grave concern the resurgence of Fake News and Blackmail targeting some government and non-governmental officials."
